LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Capital Region bragging rights are up for grabs when longtime local rivals Siena and UAlbany clash in men's lacrosse action today at Siena Turf Field. The Saints and Great Danes faceoff at 5 p.m., with the game being televised live in the Capital Region on Time Warner Cable Sports Channel 3.
The "Voice of the Saints" Robert Lee has the call of today's action alongside former Siena assistant coach Liam Gleason. The game, which is being presented by MVP Healthcare and Gait Lacrosse, will be broadcast live on Channel 3 beginning at 5 p.m. and fans can also watch the webstream of the televised broadcast online at SienaAllAccess.com by clicking the watch link at the top of this release.
UAlbany (4-9) has won 23 of the 32 all-time meetings between the two schools, but last year the Saints' (10-3) prevailed 13-12 at John Fallon Field. It was Siena's first win over the Great Danes in eight tries since UAlbany moved to the Division I ranks in 2000 and snapped a 13-game losing streak against UA dating back to 1988.
