Feb. 22, 2016 LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. – Siena Lacrosse freshman attackman Keenan Cook has been named the MAAC Rookie of the Week. The Courtice, Ontario native scored his first two collegiate goals in the Saints' narrow 12-9 defeat to fellow Empire State foe Hobart at the Cobb County Classic Saturday in Kennesaw, Ga.
Cook was efficient offensively, scoring on both shots he took. His second goal knotted the score for the Saints at 7-7 midway through the third quarter. He also chipped in on the defensive end in a solid all-around performance, with a pair of caused turnovers and picked up a groundball.

The women's season opener begins at 3 p.m., with the men's game set to follow at 6 p.m. The men then return to the Capital Region for their home opener Saturday vs. UMass Lowell at 1 p.m. at Siena Turf Field.
