After Siena opened the scoring with a three, the Purple Eagles answered with the game's next 12 points and led for the final 38 minutes. Niagara opened as much as a 10-point advantage in the opening half, although the Saints reeled off nine straight points to briefly forge a 30-all tie with 2:51 remaining in the stanza. But the Purple Eagles scored seven of the final eight points in the first half to reclaim the lead for good at 37-31 at the break.

Both teams shot at identical 55% clips in combining to score 92 points in the second half. Siena rallied within as close as three at 65-62 on a Horn layup with 7:34 to play, but Niagara responded with a 16-5 run down the stretch to close it out.

Junior forward Evan Fisher followed up Monday's career performance with a solid eight points and nine rebounds for the Saints, while sophomore forward Thomas Huerter, Jr. added career-highs of five points, seven rebounds, and two blocks in 16 spirited minutes off the bench in just his second appearance in the past month.
