Siena Men's and Women's Track teams competed in the first day of the Bucknell Bison Outdoor Classic. The Saints has nine personal records which led to nine Top-15 fastest times in school history.
Evans Kibet set the school record which he had previously set in the 1500m. He set the new record with his 12th place finish of 3:48.36.
Monica Strain started the Saints day off in the unseeded 1500m. The freshman finished in 4:51.96. Meghan McDonough set a personal best time of 4:52.91, while Anya Schmitt also set a personal best of 4:56.39. The two now sit in 8th and 11th All-Time.
As the sole male competing in the 1500m unseeded, Jacob Greski set a personal best time of 4:01.50. His time was good for sixth fastest in Siena history.
Carissa Kahn hit the track in the 3000m steeplechase and and set a personal record of 11:51.41 which placed her in third all-time in Siena history.
William Randall took fourth place in the 5000m unseeded run. He came in fourth with his personal record ,which is third fastest Outdoor time for Siena, of 14:58.29.
Both Shaun VanBuskirk and Jack O'Hara set personal records in the 10000m run. VanBuskirk came in fifth with a time of 31:29.09 which is good for second fastest all-time, while O'Hara came in at 31:46.29, which was good for fifth fastest all-time.
Sarah Forman competed in the 1500m Invite and finished 15th with a time of 4:28.78. On the men's side in the Invite, Travis Fairlee came through with a time of 3:58.28.
In the 5000m Invite, Shannon Bauer led the way for Siena with her 17:29.52 finish. Carolyn Pellegrini then set a personal record to land in fifth fastest all-time for the Saints with a time of 17:44.35.
Michael Rautter took his spot in the 5000m Invite and finished in 15:30.03.
Stosh Davis ended the night in the 10000m Invite. He finished in 31:30.43 which is a personal record that placed him as the fourth fastest Saint in the event all-time.
The Saints will compete in the second game tomorrow, Sunday, April 15, starting with the 3000m run at 10:30 a.m.
