LOUDONVILLE, NY - Siena Baseball looks to put the finishing touches on what would be a critical series sweep when the Saints host Iona in the finale of the weekend set at 3 p.m. at Connors Park. The team will honor its eight seniors in a pregame ceremony at approximately 2:40 p.m.

Siena (13-26, 8-9) enters play winners of four of their last five conference contests and in position to move back to .500 in the MAAC with a victory today. The Saints swept yesterday's pivotal doubleheader by scores of 4-1 and 3-2 to leapfrog both Iona (11-30, 5-9) and Monmouth into the six-spot in the MAAC Standings with seven league games remaining on Siena's slate. The top-six teams qualify for the MAAC Tournament next month in Staten Island.
The Saints have been powered offensively recently by upperclassmen
Zach Durfee and
Brian Kelly and freshmen
Devan Kruzinski and
Ryan McGee. Durfee and Kelly carry 27 and 25-game on-base streaks into today's series finale, respectively, while Kruzinski has put together an 8-15 four-game week at the plate and McGee is 9-16 including the game-winning RBI in yesterday's Game Two victory.
Just prior to first pitch, Siena will honor its Senior Class comprised of Kelly,
Ryan Bellomo,
Dylan D'Anna,
Matt Hamel,
Tommy Miller,
John Nolan,
Nico Ramos, and
Tim Zehnbauer. The three senior position players of Hamel, Kelly, and Ramos, are all in today's starting lineup, while Bellomo will get the start on the mound. Hamel enters today's contest just one hit shy of 100 for his career.
Siena leads the all-time series vs. Iona 43-29, and has won four of the past five matchups.
