Jackson Cayward led the pack of Siena Men Cross Country runners at the IC4A / ECAC Championships, clocking in at 24:44.7 to finish 12
th overall, and guiding the Saints to a sixth-place team finish out of 22 teams on Friday at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx.
On the women's circuit, it was senior
Mattingly O'Rourke, who crossed first among the Saints with a time of 22:35.6 in the 6K event and shaved off better than 20 seconds off her previous time. The Siena women closed out 19
th out of 25 teams.
Finishing closely behind Cayward were
Colin Brunelle (24:58.5) and
Tyler Greene (24:58.9) at 21
st and 22
nd respectively, then
Luke Tkaczyk (25:17.4) at 37
th overall.
Collin Clinton (25:38.8) placed 60
th followed by

Northeastern took first place with 58 points, placing five runners within the top 24 best times. Saint Joseph's (83), UMBC (136), American (137) and Colgate (149) rounded out the top-five. Siena was only two points behind with 151 then Bucknell (186), Fordham (203), George Mason (207), MAAC foes Marist (248) and Iona (263). Brown (316), NJIT (395), Lafayette (401), MAAC foe Fairfield (428), LIU (451), MAAC rival Manhattan (500), Wagner (521), UAlbany (544), FDU (591), and MAAC opponents Quinnipiac (592) and St. Peter's (633).
On the Siena women's side, after O'Rourke was junior

Brown took the meet with a score of 81 points. Bucknell (83), UMass Amherst (143), Iona (173), and Delaware were in the top-five. Northeastern (195), George Mason (248), Lafayette (251), American (282), Saint Joseph's (293), Marist (310), UMBC (321), Colgate (344), Fairfield (346), Wagner (357), Fordham (407), NJIT (421), Harvard (476), Siena (485), Manhattan (506), St. John's (607), UAlbany (661), LIU (667), FDU (758) and St. Peter's (797) was the order of finish.
Siena takes back to the course for the MAAC Cross Country Championships on Saturday, Nov. 1 at Twin Ponds on the Farm in Montgomery, NY.
