LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena Basketball Head Coach
Gerry McNamara has announced his sixth official addition, and third incoming freshman to join the Saints 2025-26 roster, with the signing of Francis Folefac.
Â
"Francis is an extremely productive player and is a winner," said McNamara. "He led his Mount Zion team throughout the high school season, and had a great summer with Team Melo on the Nike EYBL circuit. Francis is able to score inside and out, as well as rebound and pass at a high level. He makes his teammates better, and plays hard at all times. I can't wait to get Francis on campus and watch him continue to grow."
Â
A 6-7, 225-pound forward from Lanham, Maryland who initially committed verbally back in October, Folefac earned
Washington Post Second Team All-Met honors after leading Mt. Zion to a No. 24 national ranking in the final SportsCenter NEXT Top-25 Poll this past season.
Â
The 2023-24 All-Metro Private School Conference Defensive Player of the Year and multiple time All-MPSC honoree, Folefac guided Mt. Zion to the 2023 Maryland State Championship and Maryland Private School State Title. He played on the AAU circuit for Team Melo in the EYBL. Â
Â
Folefac is the sixth officially announced newcomer – and third freshman – to join the 2025-26 Siena Men's Basketball team, following transfers
Riley Mulvey,
Antonio Chandler, and
Tasman Goodrick, and fellow freshmen
Christian Jones and
Isaiah Henderson. Stay tuned in the coming days for formal announcements of additional newcomers set to join the 2025-26 Saints.
