Siena Athletics Hall of Fame
The first non-athlete or coach to be inducted into the Siena Athletics Hall of Fame, Levine served as Siena’s first sports information director at Siena from 1939-71 and a was a 1943 graduate. He publicized Siena teams throughout that period and was known for enjoying obtaining “ink” on all Siena teams for the media. He allegedly never missed a Siena Basketball home game from the time the college was founded. Aside from his work at Siena, he also enjoyed publicizing teams at the Albany Business College and the Albany Boys Club, and later worked for the Albany Times Union, where he began working in the sports department before being promoted to the Director of Public Relations for the paper. Levine was a charter member of both the Siena Athletic Association and the Siena Invitational Tournament Committee, and served on the Associate Board of Trustees from 1974-78. He died on September 1, 1978 at the age of 56.
