Siena Athletics Hall of Fame
Koenig played three years at the varsity level and was a very big contributor averaging 7.8 points per game his first season. In his second season with the Indians he boosted his scoring average to 13.3, second on the team. During his senior year, he moved into the co-captain role and took it in stride. Koenig also was a member of Siena's cross country team. He went on to spend 10 years as the Mayor of Kingston, New York, transforming the city’s landscape during his term. He died on June 20, 2001 at the age of 66.
