Siena Athletics Hall of Fame
Pangburn is the most accomplished distance freestyle swimmer in program history, still holding the Siena record in the 1,000 (10:24.96) and 1,650 (17:21.43) freestyle events after graduating with four school records. In the 2002 MAAC Championships, she took first place in the 500 free, and was named the conference’s Most Outstanding Swimmer after the meet. As a senior she built on that success, taking first place in five events at the 2003 MAAC Championships, with three titles in individual events. Pangburn’s performance keyed a second-place finish for the Saints that year, still the best placing in program history. To this day, she remains a one of the program’s top-10 all-time competitors in the 500 free, 1000 free, and 1650 free.
