Palinski's career statistics are remarkable when you consider that at 6’1” he played the forward position against players who were usually 3 to 4 inches taller than he was. In 1965-66 season, he led the team in both scoring (16.1) and rebounding (11.5). That same year, Mark set the seasonal mark for free throws made (138) and set a single game record for free throws made (17) against St. John Fisher. He graduated scoring 1,030 points, which was good for eighth on the all-time scoring list at the time.
