A daunting 6’7 center who scored 536 points in just two years of varsity ball, Weber eclipsed Howie Tucker’s mark as Siena’s all-time scorer at the time. His one-year total of 362 points during the 1947-48 season also pushed past Tucker’s single-season record. He was chosen on three teams’ All-Opponent teams his senior year and ranked 71st in the nation in scoring with an average of 12.9 points per-game. Weber was selected by the Chicago Stags in the 9th round (96th pick) 1948 BAA Draft as Siena’s first draft pick at any level, and eventually signed with fellow NBA franchise the St. Louis Bombers. He is also a member of the Christian Brothers Academy Basketball Hall of Fame. He died on October 15, 2005.
