One of the most talented guards in Siena history, Matt Brady played in 114 games during a four-year career that began in 1983. As a sophomore he propelled Siena to its first 20-win season at the Division I level with a record of 22-7. That year, he averaged 8.7 points and 6.0 assists while logging nearly 36 minutes per game. During his junior year, Brady broke the Siena all-time career assist mark and was the team's top free-throw shooter at 82%. He became the 13th player in Siena history to score 1,000 career points and is currently Siena's 16th all-time leading scorer with 1,106 career points. Brady was an All-North Atlantic Conference selection in each of his final three seasons at Siena.

Brady holds several Siena records including most three-point field goals in a game (8) and most free throws attempted in a game (17). He ranks second on Siena's career assists list with 593 and holds four of the top ten single-season totals in that category. During his illustrious career, Siena won 74 of the 114 games in which he played.

Following graduation, Brady has embarked on a collegiate coaching career that has spanned more than 30 years and has included stops as the head coach at Marist College (2004-08) and James Madison (2008-16). Brady was named the MAAC Coach of the Year in 2007 and is currently the interim head coach at DePaul University.
