Putting in three years of service (2003-05) for Siena Baseball, Lannan put together a memorable junior campaign, earning ABCA / Rawlings All-Northeast Second Team accolades. A two-time Second Team All-MAAC honoree, Lannan still holds the single-season program records for wins (10) and complete games (8), both set in 2005. He compiled 17 wins, 7.43 strikeouts per-nine innings, 165 strikeouts and 200 innings pitched. After being drafted by the Washington Nationals in the 11th round of the 2005 MLB Draft, Lannan embarked on a 13-year professional career that saw him make his major league debut in 2007 to become just the fourth former Siena player to do so. He spent eight total years in the majors with the Nationals (07-12), Philadelphia Phillies (2013) and the New York Mets (2014), competed in the big leagues longer than any other Saint.
