Siena Athletics Hall of Fame
Arguably the greatest singles player in program history, Mayer still holds the Siena Women’s Tennis marks for career singles victories (70) as well as wins from the No. 1 spot (59). As a freshman, she played a major role in Siena capturing the 2006 MAAC Championship and heading to the NCAA Tournament for the first time, winning MAAC Rookie of the Year and MAAC Player of the Year that season. Mayer was also the 2007-08 MAAC Player of the Year, 2008-09 MAAC Co-player of the Year and took home three First Team All-MAAC singles, one Second Team All-MAAC singles, two Second Team All-MAAC doubles and seven MAAC Player of the Week honors during her storied career. Alongside her older sister Nikki Mayer ’03, HOF ’11, she is part of the only set of sisters enshrined in the Siena Athletics Hall of Fame and is one of four relative combinations of any kind.
