Siena Athletics Hall of Fame
Hermann was a prolific scorer from 1967-70 and held five Siena records, which including all-time leading scorer, when he graduated. In 1968-69, he held the records for: most points in a season with 493; most points by a player in first year of varsity; top two scores for most points in a single game with 41 and 39 points; points in a half with 26; highest average for a season 21.4; most field goals, 200; most consecutive foul shots 21, done over a span of five games. Hermann finished his career with 1,258 points and 733 rebounds and was Siena’s all-time leading scorer at the time of graduation. His scoring mark stood as the program’s fourth highest in its pre-Division I era. He died at the age of 68 on August 12, 2017.
