Siena University Athletics

Smith was an important part of Siena's basketball program from 1972-75. Smith increased his scoring every year that he played, going from 9.8 ppg his first year to 12.5 during the 1973-74 season. Serving as a co-captain his senior year, he improved in scoring average to 14.5, the highest in his career. Also, during his senior year he exploded for a career-high 34 points against St. Peter's. He ended his career with 855 points and 434 rebounds. He also tallied 137 assists during his three-year career.
