One of the most prolific scorers in the early age of Siena Basketball, Hill was considered one of the finest jump shooters to ever perform for the Indians, playing from 1952-56. His productions of 34 points in a single game, 20 points in a half, a 20.9 scoring average his senior year and a career total of 1092 points were all records for his time. He also sticks out as one of the speediest Siena cagers ever and possessed great reflex action at 6’2”. The first freshman in the school’s history to play on the varsity team, Hill graduated with six offensive program records. Hill also ran for Siena's cross country team duringhis freshman season. He was drafted by both the NBA’s St. Louis Hawks and the Detroit Pistons following graduation, but entered the U.S. Army instead, where he led their All-Star Team to a 43-1 record and a National Championship in 1957. He also won the All-Far East Championship and was a First Team All-Star for the Army, and was selected to the Yonkers, New York Athletics Hall of Fame in 1989. He died on December 26, 2015.
