One of the most prolific post players in program history, Halker remains the Saints’ all-time rebounder (1,122, 10.0 per-game) to this day, and is one of only two women’s hoopers and four Siena basketball players total to score 2,000 career points (2,021). She also still holds the single-season marks for field goals (263, 1998-99), rebounds (341, 1996-97) and boards per-game, as well as the single-game record for rebounding (24), which same on November 23, 1997. A two-time MAAC Player of the Year selection in 1997 & 1998, Halker also earned three First Team All-MAAC selections, a MAAC All-Rookie Team nod, and was the MAAC Rookie of the Year for the 1995-96 season. She remains inside the MAAC top-10 in scoring, rebounding, and rebounds per-game to this day.
Halker helped the Saints to a 42-17 mark during her final two season with the program, with the Saints winning the MAAC Regular Season Championship in both years and advancing to the Second Round of the 1999 WNIT in the program’s first-ever Division I postseason berth. She embarked on a professional playing career following graduation, playing in Luxembourg and Israel. Upon her return to the states, Halker went into coaching, serving as an assistant coach for Siena, Indiana State, Dayton, Princeton, and Michigan from 2002-19. She was named the eighth head coach of Xavier Women’s Basketball on April 5, 2019. Halker was named to the MAAC’s 25th Anniversary Women’s Basketball Team in 2005 and was selected to the MAAC Hall of Fame Honor Roll in 2018.
