Siena Athletics Hall of Fame
With 1,639 points to her name, Jansone ranks sixth all-time in Siena Women’s Basketball history in scoring, and still holds the program career (59.1) and single-season (60.5, 2001-02) records for field goal percentage, while also regining as the MAAC's all-time leader in the category. The team’s leading scorer during the 2002-03 season, she helped the Saints in assembling four straight MAAC Regular Season Championships, including a MAAC Tournament win and the program’s only NCAA Tournament berth to-date in 2001 and back-to-back WNIT appearances in 2002 & 2003. Jansone took home a slew of MAAC honors, including four All-MAAC awards, a MAAC Rookie of the Year award in 2001, a MAAC 6th Player of the Year honor in 2002 and a MAAC Player of the Year award in 2003. She went on to play professional basketball from 2004-14 in seven different countries and signed a contract with the New York Liberty of the WNBA in 2006. She was also a member of the Latvian National Team, playing in four Eurobasket Women competitions and the 2008 Summer Olympics. She was selected to the MAAC’s 25th Anniversary Women’s Basketball Team in 2006.
